The Aromatherapy Store is dedicated to simplifying and taking the enigma and confusedness out of the,sometimes baffling, world of essential oils and aromatherapy. As an industry and an art, started within the simple realms of cottage and home therapeutics, we try to make the oil’s benefits transparent and available to all. Whether youre an full-fledged Aromatherist, a Fully Qualified Massage Therapist, or just someone who is wake to the wondrous characters of aromatherapy and the use of essential oils, we hope you’ll discover what youre looking for here.
Organic or Not Organic?
We source our oils from tiny independent producers in India, China, South East Asia , Eastern Europe and the Southern Mediterranean area. Where practicable we try to source from organic producers who farm and crop responsibly. However this isn’t always manageable – and in particular this is representative of manufacturers and individuals molding the land in disadvantaged fields of India and China. These people are oftentimes cultivating plants in a tiny holding situations and as such cannot afford to dedicate their estate to organic yield. They frequently grow the plants for essential oils alongside vegetables and fruit for sale to the localized market places, ans as such rely on localised market places and buyers – and in a impoverished country their purchasers cannot afford to give a premium when they themselves are surviving on a hand to mouth basis. These people can see ‘organic produce’ as the opulence of more fortunate nations.
At The Aromatherapy Store, we as a company purpose to cultivate together with these self-supporting producers, who fall under even the sonars of Fair Trade Industry organisers and lay down mutually positive economic and business relationships and we’ll be featuring individual producers tales in the coming calendar months so you’ll get a chance to find out who is benefiting from the commerce that materializes here in the West!
