Scared No more

Ever since I discovered a great way of dealing with anxiety I have been on cloud nine. I have to admit that it isn’t something that really takes away all my worries or lessens my panic attacks monumentally; it is however a great treat and it makes my life so much sweeter. For me this must be the best treatment for anxiety that I have ever tried out.

Are you curious about what wonderful picker-upper is? It is nothing more than chocolate. You must think that I’ve really lost it to think that chocolate is the solution to all my problems. Like I’ve said it’s no magical cure, but it can really help you get into a better mood. It’s true and it’s actually proven by science too.

The ingredients of chocolate have a direct effect on the brain and the nervous system. By taking in chocolate you can actually help your brain release specific neurotransmitters that help reduce stress and make you happy. These are specifically known as endorphins. Other than this chocolate also helps the brain releaser serotonin which is an anti-depressant.

Aside from these you will also find phenylethylamine which decreases depression and improves mood. Anandamide, also a component of chocolate helps with dopamine production which in turn gives you a natural high or feeling of being elated. 

Other than these there are other components of chocolate that help improve your mood. So yes, indeed chocolate is the best anxiety anxiety treatment, being comfort food and a wonderful make-me-happy treat. Oh and in case you’re wondering this is good for some stress release and mood improvement but don’t rely on it to help eliminate your anxiety completely.
