Natural Acne Remedy: Save Money Using Home Remedies
Tea Tree Oil
One natural acne remedy that will help to heal the skin is Tea Tree Oil. Applied topically to pimples and blemished areas, it is a natural antibacterial agent and most people find the scent pleasant.
Aloe Vera
Not just for burns, this plant is also a good home remedy for other skin conditions, including acne. Break apart the stem and apply directly to the face and leave it there. It will be absorbed and go deep within.
Oatmeal Scrub
Combine ¼ cup oatmeal and two to three tablespoons of plain yogurt to form a paste. Gently smooth onto the skin and allow it to sit for approximately fifteen minutes. Wash off with warm water and pat dry.
Cucumber
This is probably the best natural acne remedy you can use. Put one cucumber in a blender and make a paste. Smooth over the face and sit back for a half an hour. Cucumbers contain silica, which is a trace mineral that works to repair our cells and strengthen the tissues. By using this mask once daily you will see drastic improvement in the condition of your skin.
While you are using these wonderful nature made treatments, there are other things you can do to heal your skin as well, if you are willing to make a few changes to your daily routine.
Drinking Water
We all need water for healthy skin. By drinking eight full glasses per day you will be helping to flush toxins from the body. If the skin is not hydrated it will assume it needs to create more oil, and this is not what you want.
Diet
Fruits and vegetables. If you are not consuming enough of these you are asking for skin problems. These play a part in any natural acne remedy, as they create a healthy body from the inside. An all fruit breakfast is a good way to start the day. You will have more energy and be getting those vitamins your body is craving.
Avoid greasy foods and processed goodies. Another thing to avoid is pop. Drinking more than one can of pop a day is asking for trouble. It may be hard to cut down on this, but your skin will thank you in the long run.
No Hot Water
When washing your face, use only lukewarm water because real hot water will dry your skin and those flakes will become lodged in the pores, creating more problems.
By using these tips you will be on your way to clear, smooth skin in no time. It will not happen over night, but by being consistent you will see results in a short amount of time. With a healthy diet, any natural acne remedy will work better for you.
